IVE Multicultural Fair 

The IVE Multicultural Fair returns this year on Tuesday, April 2nd from 6-8pm in the MPR. Please join us for a night of fun and food as we celebrate the diversity of our IVE community! Parents Night Out at Karate West

Are you traveling for Spring Break but not leaving until a few days in? Are you planning a staycation but didn't plan any actual activities? Sign up for Parents Night Out at Karate West and support the IVE PTA! Next PNO is next Friday April 5th, 6-9pm. The cost is $35 per child and includes pizza dinner and supervised activities. ISF ParentWiser Events

  • Hidden in Plain Sight, April 2nd at Skyline High School - walk through an exhibit of a teen bedroom and learn what signs of substance use to look for, and what to do if you suspect something. In partnership with Influence the Choice and many local community services, includes expert Q&A forum and a brief professional talk on communicating with youth about at-risk behavior.  This is a PARENT ONLY event.   
  • LIKE film documentary & discussion, March 25th, 27th or 28th across the district - features candid interviews w/ kids, teens, adults, and experts about the phenomenon of social media. Is it healthy? Is it harmful? Is it helpful? Let's discuss. (In partnership with the Issaquah Schools Foundation.) For parents AND students grades 5-12.

ISF State of Mind Conference
State of Mind is a behavioral health conference designed with discussions around stress management, body image, leadership and more! Join us Sat March 30 1:00-4:30pm at Gibson Ek. Snacks will be provided. Check-in at 12:30pm. Golden Acorn/Outstanding Educator Awards

Congratulations to our Golden Acorn & Outstanding Educator Nominees! Winners will be announced at the end of April and honored at the May PTA general membership meeting.

The Golden Acorn Award honors those who have given exemplary volunteer service to  our school community. Our PTA is a strong and successful partner with IVE due to the wonderful volunteers who step up time and time again to get things done on behalf of our students. IVE PTA Outstanding Educator Award

This award recognizes an outstanding educator (teacher, assistant, custodian, bus driver, administrator, faculty member) who has gone above and beyond for IVE students and has had a positive influence in students’ lives. The Outstanding Educator Award is our chance to say thank you. It was created to recognize individuals who have provided outstanding educational opportunities for youth that are above and beyond the normal scope of their job. This year's nominees for the IVE Outstanding Educator award are:

Volunteers Needed 

Class Picture Day Volunteers

Class Picture Day is March 29, and we’re looking for volunteers to help out. Three hour shifts are available in the morning and in the afternoon. Volunteers will receive free pictures! Please visit HERE to sign up.Thank you!

The Spring Book Fair is coming April 24-26

Art Docent for 2019-20 School Year

We are looking for someone to take over the administrative aspects of the Art Docent Program for next year. This is a wonderful PTA volunteer role to help keep our robust and creative art program running along. We are looking for someone with great organizational skills, and there is no need to be "artsy" to be eligible. Please contact Angie at art@ivepta.org if you are interested in learning more about this opportunity to take a larger role in the PTA Art Docent Program.Thank you!

Important Reminders

Math Adventure- Registration now open!

Math Adventure is a night of fun for kids where they work in teams to problem solve, do math, and have fun. No special math skills are required as it is based on the common core standards kids are already learning at school. Math Adventure at IVE is eligible to all 2nd through 5th graders. IVE Food Drive Supporting Lunch for the Break

Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank’s Lunch for the Break program is working to make sure all ISD students have enough to eat, even when students are out of school over a long break. Please support the IVE Food Drive for this program by bringing the following items to your classrooms March 25 - April 2nd: 

  • Kindergarten: Oatmeal, Cereal, Granola Bars, Juice boxes or Milk boxes
  • 1st Grade: Peanut Butter or Jam/Jelly (please be considerate of peanut allergies)
  • 2nd Grade: Box of Pasta, Pasta Sauce, or Mac & Cheese Box
  • 3rd Grade: Progresso or Chunky Canned Soup, Canned Tuna/Salmon/Chicken, or Dry Black/Pinto Beans
  • 4th Grade: White Rice or Corn Tortillas
  • 5th Grade: Crackers or Canned Fruit (not applesauce)

Lost & Found

Missing a coat, hat, lunchbox or gloves? Check out the overflowing IVE Lost & Found area located across from the Library. We will be donating any remaining items to children in need after April 2nd, so please come by or have your child check it out soon!

IVE Yearbook 

Don't forget to pre-order your child's yearbook to ensure they receive this treasured keepsake. Opportunities for yearbook donations to a student in need are available as well. For more information and to order, please click HERE
