Have you ever felt it hard to connect with other parents, teachers, and members in the community due to cultural differences? Join us Wednesday, May 15th, 6:30-8:00pm, in the IVE Library for a presentation and discussion lead by Lorna Gilmour, an ISD Family Partnership Specialist. Could you help? The IVE PBSES Program Needs You:

If you could help in any of the ways listed below please either drop off the supplies at the front office or email Samantha Slattery at SlatteryS@issaquah.wednet.edu.

  • Our cougar store is running out of items. This is the store that students can come to and buy items using cougar awards that they earn showing expected behaviors. We would love donations of gently used toys or any items that you think a school age student would enjoy.
  • We are working to create a clubhouse that students can enjoy during recess. We need items such as Legos, blocks, activity or coloring books, games, or books.
  • I would love to make school wide behavioral expectations videos that would use our school students as actors. These videos would be used throughout the year to teach and reteach expectations in a fun and creative way. BUT…. I don’t have any idea how to make “professional like” videos. If anyone has this talent or likes to dabble in it that would like to help me that would be amazing!

(Please note this is NOT the program by which you order school supplies for your IVE students for next year. That information is in the News & Announcements section of this newsletter)
