Camp Orkila is a YMCA camp located on the northwest tip of Orcas Island.  Camp Orkila has been connecting youth and families to the outdoors since 1906.  With more than 280 acres of private beach, preserved forest and open fields, kids thrive in this caring and supportive community. 

Explore nature, learn new skills, make new friends and gain respect for the environment.  Let your child explore their strengths, expand their independence and build confidence with Camp Orkila.

  •  Thursday, May 30th                                         6:30-7:30 p.m.

Sleeping bag, bag drop off and t-shirt pickup at IVE bus lane.

Please be sure all your child’s items are labeled with their name.

  • Friday, June 1st                                              6:45 a.m. sharp

Student drop off at Tibbett’s Valley Park on the corner of Newport Way and 12th.

Arrive promptly, have your child wear their Orkila t-shirt.

Please pack a disposable sack lunch for your child to eat on the ferry.

If your child takes medication, please keep it in its original packaging. Put it into a Ziploc bag with your child’s name on it and hand it to a chaperone who will put it in our medications box.

  • Sunday, June 3rd                                             3:30 p.m.  

Students arrive home from camp. Pick up at the IVE bus lane. This is an estimated arrival time, depending on the ferry and road traffic.

If you park in the spots in the bus lane, you will have to wait until the busses depart before you can leave. You can also park on the other side of the school or use street parking.

As Needed Forms:


Dietary Restriction Form – This form lists the food policy at camp.  Please fill out if you (as a chaperone attending camp) or your child has any dietary restrictions or food allergies.


Authorization of administration of prescription medication  - REQUIRED, if your student will be bringing prescription medication.
